shaken up

Oh Haiti! When do you ever get a moments peace? A chance to catch your breath, to get ahead? I just feel such a pain in my chest for this Country I hold so dear.

My children live in Cayes, SW of Port-au-Prince and from what I have heard - the children are ok. No word from our orphanage director and the orphanage located in Port-au-Prince. It will be hard to sleep tonight, thinking about our little ones and others we care for in Haiti. Also for all the people I do not know, but DO know that everyday is a struggle for them, a fight to feed their families, and now tonight they carry candles and struggle to pull their loved ones out of rubble.

You might wonder in a time like this what someone like you can do?

Please keep the people of Haiti in your thoughts. Donate to Red Cross, or any other reputable agency that is working in Haiti (I might list some in the days to come). Take a moment to research Haiti, how it came to be a Country and the obstacles they have overcome, the obstacles they still face.

Dearest Mandy and your whole beautiful family...Thinking of all of you right now, and sending out huge waves of love and hope and protection... My heart hurts since hearing about Haiti today. Don't know what else to say, but know that I love you all. XOXOXO

So happy to hear your children are ok. I am shocked, numb, sick to my stomach, stayed home with a migraine. Such devastation..... I truly hope your paper work is safe somewhere & your kids will be home soon.

Hugs

Your kids were the first I thought of when I heard the news about Haiti. I'm SO glad to hear that they are okay. Hopefully this will cause some people to kick the adoption process into high gear!
